WHO evacuates Patients from Naser Hospital
Gaza February 22, 2024 (QJ) -The World Health Organization (WHO) expressed concern about the safety of 130 patients in the Nasir Hospital in Gaza, which was confirmed to have been targeted by an Israeli airstrike.
The United Nations has undertaken two operations to evacuate 32 injured Palestinians from the hospital.
They have indicated that there is a shortage of water and electricity and that medical waste and garbage pose another risk of disease.
Israel has stated that its forces are providing support to ensure that the hospital remains operational amid their attacks against Hamas.
Hamas, recognized by the West as a terrorist organization, has denied allegations that its fighters are using hospitals as shelters, saying they are being used as an excuse to destroy the health care system in Gaza.
