UNRWA looses 19 more of its staff in Gaza
Gaza December 05, 2023 (QJ) -The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has confirmed the deaths of 19 of its staff.
UNRWA has not provided detailed information regarding when and where the 19 individuals were killed.
Concerning the staff members who were killed since October 7th, it is stated that “130 staff have been confirmed dead” from the Middle East.
The agency has reported that more than one million people, including 99 establishments in the northern and southern regions of Gaza, have been affected by the recent events.
The affected areas include Khan Younis and Rafah. Furthermore, UNRWA mentioned that one of its schools in Deir Al Balah in central Gaza has experienced damage due to Sunday’s attack, resulting in casualties, and another school in Khan Younis faced another attack leading to the death of four civilians.
