Solidarity is accord that bring into being shared interests, objectives, standards, and sympathies. It refers to the principles that lead harmony that bind people together as one. What forms the basis of solidarity varies between societies. In trouble-free societies, it may be mainly based around relationship and shared values. In more multiparty societies there are various theories as to what contributes to a sense of social solidarity: it is social cohesion based upon the dependence individuals have on each other in more advanced societies. Solidarity is the integration, and degree and type of integration, shown by a society or group with people and their neighbors. It refers to the ties in a society – social relations – that bind people to one another. The term is generally employed in sociology and other social sciences. What forms the basis of solidarity varies between societies. In simple societies it may mainly based around kinship and shared values. In more complex societies, there are various theories as to what contributes to a sense of social solidarity. Solidarity offers its members protection in the workplace, team, group, trade unions or national soldiery within the sobriety.
The first step in the evolution of ethics is a sense of solidarity with other human beings. The sole and basic source of our strength is the solidarity of workers, peasants and the intelligentsia, the solidarity of the nation, the solidarity of people who seek to live in dignity, truth, and in harmony with their conscience. Our duty is to set common rules around the principles of responsibility and solidarity. It is the business of the very few to be independent; it is a privilege of the strong. Solidarity comes from the inability to tolerate the affront to our own integrity of passive or active collaboration in the oppression of others, and from the deep recognition of our most expansive self-interest. From the recognition that, like it or not, our liberation is bound up with that of every other being on the planet, and that politically, spiritually, in our heart of hearts we know anything else is un-affordable. Solidarity does not assume that our struggles are the same struggles, or that our pain is the same pain, or that our hope is for the same future. Solidarity involves commitment, and work, as well as the recognition that even if we do not have the same feelings, or the same lives, or the same bodies, we do live on common ground. The most important word in the language for a people having shared interest is solidarity.
Below is the story of the Four Oxen and the Lion. It says that a lion used to prowl about a field in which Four Oxen used to dwell. Many a time he tried to attack them; but whenever he came near they turned their tails to wane another, so that whichever way he approached them he was met by the horns of one of them. At last, however, they fell a-quarreling among themselves, and each went off to pasture alone in the separate corner of the field. Then the Lion attacked them one by one and soon made an end of all four. This happens when are divided. An example of unity quotes is the following: This short fable tells of a man whose sons often quarrel among them. To show them the benefit of working together, he brings them a bundle of sticks. He asks them to break the bundle of sticks. As expected, the brothers cannot break the sticks when they are together.
However, they can easily be broken individually. My sons, if you are of one mind, and unite to assist each other, you will be as this bundle, uninjured by all the attempts of your enemies; but if you are divided among yourselves, you will be broken as easily as these sticks. Although his sentiment can be found in two of his fables, Aesop was certainly not the last one to use this quote. It has endured for thousands of years and remains an important life lesson to learn. United we stand divided we fall,” is not used directly in this fable. However, the moral of the story is the same. Last, but the least, instead of loyal to clan, let us be loyal on shared mutual issues and that leads that we have faith in ourselves.Honesty and loyalty are keys for success. If people can be honest with each other about everything, that’s probably the biggest key to success. Most people know him for the fables that have been handed down through time in his name. Because storytelling was an oral tradtiion true authorship of these fables has been lost.
Aesop may have penned some of the fables, but others have just been told in his name. This quote can be found as a direct statement in the Four Oxen and the Lion. It can also be found indirectly in the Bundle of Sticks. Taken above into consideration, we should come with a similar motto as this the only way we can be the victorious. Unity and solidarity drains out tribalism. Tribalism is the state of being organized in a a form of tribe. Tribalism implies the possession of a strong cultural or ethnic identity that separates one member of a group from the members of another group and way of thinking or behaving in which people are more loyal to their tribe than to their friends, their country, or any other social group. We need eliminating this culture.
