UN accuses Israel of blocking food aid to Gaza

Gaza March 06, 2024 (QJ) -Israeli forces blocked a UN food aid convoy destined for northern Gaza on Tuesday, according to the UN’s World Food Program (WFP).

The UN agencies and Palestinian officials have expressed concern that children in Gaza are dying of malnutrition, with Israel restricting access to those in need in northern Gaza.

“The 17 aid trucks were later overwhelmed by a large number of desperate people, taking around 200 tons,” WFP said.

A group of United Nations experts earlier on Tuesday accused Israel of “deliberately starving the Palestinian people” in Gaza.

International forces continue to drop food aid in northern Gaza, but these efforts are not yielding significant results,” said the WFP.
