SoMDA delivers Humanitarian aid to Hiiraan

Jalalaqsi December 13, 2023 (QJ) -In response to the challenging situation in the district of Jalalaqsi and the surrounding villages in the Hiiraan region, the National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) of Somalia has dispatched a second batch of relief aid.

This relief assistance, consisting of over 30 vehicles loaded with essential supplies, is intended to reach and support the Somali citizens living in the district of Jalalaqsi and the affected villages, assisting those facing difficult living conditions following the flooding caused by the Shabelle River.

This aid delivery comes as a follow-up to the previous relief efforts by SoDMA in Jubaland regions and the distribution of substantial aid in the town of Mahadaay in the past weeks. The relief response aims to address the urgent needs of the affected population, particularly those dealing with the consequences of the recent flooding in the region.
