Somali Migrant Detained by Bulgarian Border Police
The Bulgarian border police have detained 29 illegal immigrants in the past 24 hours for attempting to cross the country’s border, announced the press center of the Interior Ministry.
Of the 19 foreigners were detained on the Bulgarian-Serbian border six were from Mali and one from Somalia, all aged between 21 and 28 were detained close to the village of Oshane, municipality of Balchik.
Close to the village of Chernodab, municipality of Svilengrad, the police detained four people without identity documents. The immigrants say they are Algerian citizens aged between 18 and 22.
Eight people, including three children, were detained close to the village of Shtit, municipality of Svilengrad. Six of them are from Iran and two from Sweden.
Ten people without identity documents were detained on the Bulgarian-Turkish border. They say they are Syrian citizens.
They are accommodated in a temporary detention center. The Prosecutor’s Office was notified.
