Somali Gov’t Claims That Corrupt Officials Stole Aid

Speaking before members of parliament, the Minister of Interior Abdullahi Godax Barre claimed that there are specific government officials that have stolen the humanitarian aid meant to be provided to regions in Somalia.

The Minister strained that the corrupt officials were given the responsibility of getting the aid across to needy families in Bay and Bakool, but they didn’t as most of the food packages were not transported.
