Somali forces take back territories from Al Shabaab

Monday, September, 12, 2022 (QJ) – Somalia Federal government issued a statement yesterday detailing Somalia National Army and The Local Community joint forces, liberated more than 20 Districts in Galmudug, Hirshabelle and South-West.

The press statement stated that more than 100 Al-Shabaab fighters were killed in the operations that were undertaken in three Federal States.

The government said that the liberated districts from Al-Shabaab in the three Federal States, civilians were put through inhumane constant violent brutalities.

List of Liberated Districts in the Three Federal states that has been Liberated from Al-Shabaab.

Hirshabelle: Beer-gadiid, Bacda, Teedan, Goobo, Baar-dheere, Tiro-shanle and Coomaad.

Galguduud: Cada-Kibir, Maarsa-Game, Dhuumoodle and Cali-waliid.

South-West: Madabuun, Ceel-la-helay, Makiini, Hibaaq-daranle, Iskire, Qanyareey, Booraami, Baaqay and Kaayoow.
