Police reaching out to Somali community to find murder suspect

Edmonton Police are looking for support from Edmonton’s Somali community to find a man wanted for a November, 2012 murder.

Canada-wide Warrants have been issued for Hassan Isse Ismail, 30 for second degree murder in the death of Aden Ahmed, 24, on November 19, 2012 at a downtown home near 113 Avenue and 94 Street.

“The EPS has worked hard to establish a healthy relationship with this community, and we’re hopeful that partnership will help us in our search for this individual,” Homicide Section Staff Sgt. Bill Clark said in a press release.

t’s believed Ismail has ties to the Greater Toronto Area, he is described as:

  • Black male
  • 190 cm (6’3”) tall
  • More than 90 kg (200 lbs)
