Large protest held at Lido Beach in Mogadishu in response to the horrific attack

Tehran August 05, 2024 (QJ)-A protest was held at Lido Beach in Mogadishu in response to the horrific attack that occurred a few nights ago, where civilians were targeted. The demonstration saw participation from senior government officials, including MPs, ministers, the governor of Banaadir region, and various segments of society. They expressed condolences for the massacre of Somali youth at Lido Beach in Abdiaziz District.

Some of the young protesters expressed their support for the national heroes, emphasizing their commitment to liberating the entire country from the terrorists.

The attack, which took place on Friday, targeted young people enjoying their time at Liido Beach. More than 30 young Somalis were killed, and over 60 were injured. It is noteworthy that security forces managed to prevent a car bomb from detonating at the scene.
