Kenya: TFG Defectors Blamed for Destabilizing North Eastern Province
Garissa (SDN)-Soldiers linked to the transitional federal government of Somalia are accused of disturbing the peace in a northern Kenya border town. According to Philip Ndolo the deputy in charge of the NorthEastern province police force, Al-Shabaab is not the only destabilizing force in Northern Kenya. He points the finger at transitional federal government soldiers who he says are a threat to peace in northern Kenya border towns.

Two weeks ago Kenyan soldiers killed several men armed men dressed in TFG uniforms. One of those killed was carrying identification which confirmed his identity as a Somali government soldier.
Northern border towns in Kenya have been under upheaval since Kenya’s incursion into Somalia and the joining of Kenyan and AMISOM forces on behalf of the transitional federal government of Somalia.
