Hamas kills Three Israeli Soldiers in Rafah

GAZA May 06, 2024 (QJ) -The Hamas militants carried out an attack that inflicted significant damage on Israeli soldiers, operating in the Palestinian territory.

Hamas militants launched a coordinated and fierce assault on Rafah crossing, resulting in casualties and injuries among the Israeli military personnel.

Three Israeli soldiers were killed in the attack carried out by the Hamas militants. Additionally, the attack caused numerous injuries to Israeli troops, some of whom are reported to be in critical condition.

Israeli forces retaliated swiftly by closing the Kerem Shalom crossing in the city of Gaza, alleging that the attack originated from the area where the Hamas militants were based.

The closed Rafah crossing is among the few crossings that is providing essential humanitarian aid, including food and medical supplies, to the residents of Gaza.

The casualties among Israeli soldiers in the attack are adding pressure at a time when ceasefire negotiations mediated by Qatar and Egypt have faltered. Both Israel and Hamas are accusing each other of sabotaging the peace talks.
