Former Kenyan Prime Minister, Raila Odinga met with president Silanyo in Heathrow airport VIP lounge

London (The Independent) –Somaliland president Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud “Silaanyo” and his delegation on yesterday morning arrived at the Heathrow Airport, UK.

The president arrived from United States of America  where he had held talks with the U.S government officials and American businessmen was welcomed by thousands of somalilanders living in London, and Somaliland representatives in the UK.

Notable among Somaliland officials who were waiting to receive the President and delegation at Heathrow international airport were the Attorney General of Somaliland Hon Hassan Ahmed Aden, Somaliland Ambassador Hon Kayser Abdillahi Mohamed, the chairman of Somaliland Diaspora Agency in the UK Dr. Abdurrahman Ubahle and the Somaliland deputy Ambassador Hon Dahir Tukale.

Kenya’s former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has also met with president while in Heathrow’s VIP lounge. In the course of his official U.S tour president Silanyo has held consultative talks with the US under Secretary of state, Business Council for International Understanding, USAID, and Chair of the Senate committee on Africa Affairs ad presented a paper at the prestigious Atlantic council.

Those accompanying President Silanyo on his visit were, the first lady Amina Jirde, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdillahi Mohamed Omer, Minister of national Planning Dr. Sacad Ali Shire and the director of Somaliland National Television Mr. Khadar Ali Gaas among others.
