Former Israeli Minister admits to genocide in Gaza
Tel Aviv December 02, 2024(QJ) Former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon has accused Israel of committing war crimes and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip, reiterating the accusations of the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Yaalon, who was also the former Chief of Staff, told Israeli media that the hardliners in Netanyahu’s far-right cabinet seek to expel Palestinians from northern Gaza and aim to restore Jewish settlements.
In an interview with the private channel Dimuqraadiga, Yaalon said, “The path we are being led on is one of victory, annexation, and ethnic cleansing.”
Israel’s massacre in Gaza has killed at least 44,429 Palestinians and injured 105,250 since October 7, 2023. At least 1,139 people have been killed in Israel during the attacks led by Hamas on that day, and more than 200 have been taken captive.
