Drought Envoy: the public is fed up with Al Shabaab

Mogadishu Monday, September, 4, 2022 (SD) – In a press conference, MP Abdirahman Abdishakur stated-that The Federal Government of Somalia Should come up with a national organised clear Strategic plan to combat Al-Shabaab, And that the population is desperately struggling with severe vast drought can’t support to be massacred at the same time by Al-Shabaab group.

MP Abdirahman Abdishakur added that Al-Shabaab’s intentions are to ruin the name and image of the government, exposing their incapacities and incompetence protecting the public, so that the public fears them submissively.

MP Abdirahman Abdishakur, The Special Envoy for Drought Response for The Federal Government of Somalia continuing his speech cited several noteworthy suggestions saying that the government has a big opportunity to mobilise the public who are fed up with Al-Shabaab killings, and to quickly deploy the National Army rapidly to tackle the extremist’s violent activities.

Lastly MP Abdirahman Abdishakur send his condolences and deepest sympathies to the families on their profound losses.

Numerous calls are coming from Hiiraan Region where Al-Shabaab Killed in an attack 20 civilians and burned their trucks, that Hiiraan Region Authorities are demanding a joint quick army coalition from Mogadishu to clear the group from the country.
