CEFACA lauds for Djibouti’s new football Boss

The council of east and central Africa football Associations (CECAFA) has welcomed the outcome of football election in Djibouti on Saturday, where long-serving individual Souleiman Hassan Waberi has been elected to lead the Djibouti Football federation for the next four years.

CECAFA secretary General Nicholas Musonye said in a press statement today that the regional football governing body was lauding for the new football chief in Djibouti Souleiman waberi.

“My warm congratulations to Mr. Suleiman Waberi and I wish him good luck to turn round Djibouti football—the new president has been an active member in the CECAFA family and I am hopeful he will lead Djibouti football to a higher development” said Secretary General Nicholas Musonye who also praised the former president Hussein Fadoul for commitment to the game.

For his part CECAFA organizing committee chairman and Somali Football Federation Secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab sent a congratulatory letter to the newly elected football federation president in Djibouti Souleiman Hassan Wabweri on Saturday.

“Dear Mr. President, on behalf of Somali Football Federation I am congratulating you on your successful election as a president of football federation in Djibouti—we are always on your side and your victory in the election really cheers me and the entire members of Somali football federation” Mr. Abdi Qani Said Arab said in his congratulatory letter to the newly elected president Souleiman Hassan Waberi.

“Somalia has long-existing bilateral relations with Djibouti Football Federation whose former president Hussein Fadoul Dabar and the entire people of Djibouti had played a key role in the promotion of Somali football” noted CECAFA organizing committee chairman and Somali Football Federation Secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab.
