President Silanyo reshuffles departmental heads of ministries and agencies
Hargeisa, July 11, 2013 (SDN) — Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo wielded his axe for the second time today by making changes in departmental heads of ministries and governmental agencies. President Silanyo’s current reshuffle of departmental heads in ministries and governmental agencies follows last month’s wide cabinet reshuffle that saw the introduction of new faces to the cabinet and as well as firing and transferring some cabinet members.
A presidential decree # JSL/M/XERM/249-1890/072013 released on the 11th July read, “the head of state in conformity with section 2, Article 90 of the Somaliland constitution, and in view of the importance departmental heads and government agencies directors have to national development and after having ascertained the capabilities of the selected individuals to undertake public service hereby announce that as from today the named Somaliland citizens are appointed to the director generals and agencies directors.
