Dr. Mohamed Abdilahi Omer Takes Charge as Somaliland’s New Commerce Minister
Hargeisa, 02 July 2013 (SDN) – Somaliland’s new Commerce and international investment Minister Dr. Mohamed Abdilahi Omer assumed the charge of his office on today after his predecessor Abdirisak Khalif was appointed as the new minister of public utilities and housing during last week’s cabinet reshuffle. Outgoing minister of Commerce and international investment Abdirisak Khalif gave him a briefing over working and performance of the ministry and its attached departments. Senior officials of the ministry were also present in the meeting. Addressing the officers of the ministry, the new minister of Commerce and international investment Dr. Mohamed Abdilahi Omer stated that his policy priority is foreign investment and trade.
The new minister of Commerce and international investment Dr. Mohamed Abdilahi Omer served as the minister of foreign affairs before he was transferred to the ministry of commerce in last week’s cabinet reshuffle.
