Somalia President Returns Home after Attending IGAD Conference

Mogadishu, May 28, 2013(SDN) – The president of Somalia’s Federal government Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has on today returned to the capital Mogadishu, after attending   the Extra-ordinary session of the IGAD Assembly of the Heads of State and Government on the Situation in Somalia held in Addis Ababa. The president and his delegation arrived at Aden Adde International airport in Mogadishu, where the delegation has received a warm welcome from a number of ministers and lawmakers. Briefing the journalists at the airport president Hassan Sheikh spoke about the current political situation of Juba regions. “ I don’t want to hear that the armed conflicts between clans resurface in Juba regions because it will give the Al Qaeda linked insurgents, Al shabab a chance to regain control in the region” he said. The president also said that the people of Juba regions should all come together in the upcoming government sponsored conference and decide their future.
