Gaalkayo Vice: Targeting Illegal Substances in Puntland
Gaalkayo (SDN) -Police officials in Puntland conducted an operation to seize harmful substances and arrest drug and alcohol traffickers in the city of Gaalkayo.
More than ten people were arrested in the raid after Puntland police began the operation in the northern section of the city.
The suspects are accused of selling substances which cause impairment. Officers with the government say they will continue to investigate and conduct periodic raids to rid the city of these vices.
The Puntland police are known to take a strong stance against the sale and distribution of substances that cause impairment. They see the issue as one of public safety and vow to continue fighting traffickers so that peace and order can be maintained in their constituencies.
