Italian Envoy Discusses Theatre Bombing
Mogadishu (SDN)-The Italian envoy to Somalia spoke to the press in Mogadishu today about the national theatre bombing that took place earlier this month.
Italy’s envoy Andarei Marela told press at the conference that the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia has promised to investigate the bombing and identify those responsible. The investigation is still on-going.
Marela also stated that he met with the Minister of Interior Affairs of the TFG to discuss multiple matters including efforts to maintain peace and more specifically about the national theatre bombing in Mogadishu.
According to the envoy they also discussed ways in which stakeholder involvement in the constitution project can be improved so that the process is more inclusive for elders, traditional leaders and others who want to take part in the ratification of Somalia’s new constitution.
He concluded that his office is eagerly awaiting the results of the national theatre bombing investigation so that those responsible can be brought before the law.
