Explosions in Garbahaareey
Garbahaareey- A series of explosions rocked the city centre of Garbahaareey in Gedo region where several government soldiers and civilians were killed.
Witnesses told SDN that the first explosion occurred inside a restaurant in Garbahaareey while the other three were detonated in the city’s downtown core.
Three people are reportedly dead while ten others have been listed as injured, four of whom are expected to recover quickly according to health officials from the Garbahaareey city hospital in the region of Gedo.
Garbahaareey city officials blame Al-Shabaab saying “we are still investigating the bombing which took several lives but we suspect that this is the destabilizing work of our opposition Al-Shabaab. We will provide more information when the investigation is complete”.
