United Nations Security Council called for an urgent increase in aid to Gaza

NY (QJ) – Members of the United Nations Security Council, including the United States and Britain, have called for an urgent increase in aid to Palestinian civilians in Gaza, warning that the humanitarian situation there is worsening.

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy has called for a significant increase in aid to Gaza, where most of the 2.3 million residents have been displaced, exacerbating humanitarian problems.

Meanwhile, the United States has warned Turkey on Monday against hosting the leadership of Hamas, which the US has designated as a terrorist organization.

Several media reports have indicated that senior Hamas leaders outside of Gaza have been in Turkey in recent days after being asked to leave Qatar.
