Israel rescues 4 hostages at the coast of 210 civilians

Gaza June 08, 2024(QJ)-At least 210 people have died and more than 400 have been injured in an operation by Israel to rescue four hostages located in central Gaza, according to the Gaza government’s media office.

The operation by Israeli security forces took place in the areas of Nuseirat, Deir al-Balah, and al-Zawaideh.

The casualties were taken to two hospitals in Gaza: Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, as reported by the media office.

Earlier, eyewitnesses at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported that dozens of injured individuals were arriving at the medical center. A spokesperson for the hospital mentioned that the number of casualties was extremely high, making it difficult to ascertain the exact toll.

Saturday’s operation was the largest recovery of live captives since October 7, bringing the total of rescued captives to seven. Last week, the Israeli military had said that 120 captives remained in Gaza, including 41 that the army believed were dead.
