107 die in Gaza in 24 hours

Gaza February 03, 2024 (QJ)  -Israel’s attacks have resulted in at least 107 fatalities and 165 injuries in Gaza over the past 24 hours, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Health Ministry also reported a total of 27,238 Palestinians killed and 66,452 injured in Gaza since early October.

Several casualties were reported in the southern city of Rafah, where the situation was described as critical by the United Nations, prompting urgent appeals for a cessation of hostilities.

A UN spokesman, Jens Laerke, emphasized the “extensive destruction” in the affected areas.

Khan Younis also witnessed intense fighting in recent days, with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stating on Thursday that military operations there would see progress with positive results.

Gallant pledged that Israeli forces would “soon reach” Rafah, located at the border between Egypt and Gaza.
