US sanctions Israeli settlers for violence in West Bank

Washington February 02, 2024 (QJ) -The United States Department of State has announced its first sanctions under the new executive order targeting those responsible for violence against civilians in the West Bank.
The newly imposed sanctions, which freeze their financial assets and prohibit them from entering the United States, have targeted four individuals with Israeli citizenship.
These individuals are alleged to have engaged in activities such as incitement, destruction of property, and attacks on civilians.
While the measure is not expected to significantly impact the situation in Gaza, it is seen as a significant move by the Biden administration to address concerns raised by Muslim and Arab-American voters who called for action against Israel’s policies in the region.
