Israeli forces turn Al Awda Hospital into military barracks

Gaza December 19, 2023 (QJ) -The Palestinian Ministry of Health has accused the Israeli military of turning the Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza into a “military barracks.”
Israeli forces reportedly entered the hospital on Sunday, as stated by the ministry, after shelling its vicinity a few days ago.

The Israeli military has reportedly detained 240 people, including 80 healthcare workers, 40 patients, and 120 people seeking refuge inside the hospital, according to the spokesperson for the ministry, Ashraf al-Qudra.

The Israeli blockade have affected the availability of water, food, and medical supplies inside the hospital, Al-Qudra accused the Israeli military of hindering the hospital’s various functions.

Israeli Defense Forces denied these allegations, claiming they were not conducting any military operations inside the hospital but had reached the area due to ongoing security operations.
