Israel postpones Humanitarian pause in Gaza
Gaza November 23, 2023 (QJ) -Israel said it has delayed until Friday the implementation of the four-day ceasefire agreement, which was intended to stop the conflict in Gaza. The agreement includes the release of 150 Palestinians, including women and children, from Israeli prisons, while Hamas is expected to release 50 Israeli prisoners captured on October 7.
The deal was due to be implemented on Thursday morning.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier expressed hope for a breakthrough against Hamas, despite ongoing negotiations.
Charities have expressed concern over the duration of the ceasefire, saying it may not be long enough.
