President Hassan linked to tribal violence in Mudug
Garoowe October 03, 2023 (QJ) -Puntland’s Minister of Planning, Mohamed Said Farole, has linked Somalia’s federal President Hassan Sheikh to the ongoing conflict in Mudug, which involves Galmudug and Puntland.
The Minister claimed that recent events in the Goldogob district, where clashes occurred, were initiated by Galmudug militias, leading to a third round of fighting.
In a Twitter post, the Minister also noted that the previous clashes in Mudug, which took place in 2015-2016, took place during President Hassan’s time in office.
The clashes in Goldogob are taking place between two rival clans in the Goldogob district and the Bandiradley area, which are located between Puntland and Galmudug.
