Ambassador Andrea and Governor Jeyte discuss Al Shabaab

Mogadisho April 30, 2023 (QJ) – The governor of Hiiraan region, Ali Jeyte Osman, and the US ambassador to Somalia, Larry André, held virtual talks on Zoom to discuss important issues.

Ali Jeyte and the US ambassador discussed the military operations against the Al-Shabaab group in parts of Hiiraan region and how to effectively counter their activities and bring peace to the whole region.

Larry André praised Governor Ali Jeyte for his efforts to combat Al-Shabaab and expressed his appreciation for the Somali government’s cooperation with the United States in the fight against terrorism.

Governor Ali Jeyte thanked the United States for its support in the fight against Al-Shabaab and requested further assistance to eradicate the terrorist group from the region.
