ATMIS kills a civilian in Mogadishu

Mogadishu Feb 04, 2023 (QJ) – A soldier from the African Union Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) killed a young man at the Ceel-Gaab junction in the city of Mogadishu this morning.

The murdered young boy was one of the young men leaving on the streets of the capital. Angry citizens protesting the murder of the young boy have started a demonstration against AMISOM forces in the Ceel-Gaab junction.

Angered by the incident, the protestors have blocked the Ceel-Gaab junction, demanding justice for the boy killed today. So far, there has been no statement from ATMIS or government security forces regarding the incident.
