Breaking News:Ministers resign as Silanyo leadership is in political crisis
HARGEISA– Major Ministers in President Silanyo’s administration have officially resigned ministerial portfolios today.
Although details are sketchy pertaining to the reasons they have decided to give up their posts are not yet clear.
The main reason why they have left from the government is that the president has sided with Musa Bihi Abdi, the current Kulmiye party chairman who is vying for the party’s presidential candidacy.
The ministers that have announced resignation from the government include
- Presidential affairs minister Hon. Hirsi Ali Haji Hasan
- Foreign affairs minister Hon. Mohamed Bihi Yonis
- Justice and Judiciary minister Hon,. Husein abdi Du’ale
- Assistant minister for Rehabilitation Ms. Nimo Husein Qawdhan
- Assistant minister for labour Mr. Abdiwahid Abdirahman Abdikadir
- Presidential spokesman Hon. Ahmed Suleiman Dhuhul
- Public works minister Hon. Abdirisak Khalif Ahmed
The resigned government officials were in favor of the minister of foreign affairs who was a presidential candidate for the ruling party. The central Kulmiye council set to hold its congress in November, 2015.
