Somali Military Service men and their Vehicles Have Been Destroyed by Al-Shabab
Lower-Shabale- Elasha Biyaha: Explosions and heavy gunfire have been heard from Elasha Biyaha by the people of the district. It has been explored that the explosives were anti-tank mines from Al-Shabab. Two Somali military vehicles were destroyed an eye witness reported the news from Elasha Biyaha.
The explosions alongside with the shootings caused the dead of five Somali military personnel and three others were wounded heavily in the attacks. After the explosions AMISOM troops reached the premises and caught more than 12 local people who were all unarmed at the time of their capture.
It is not clear whether these suspects have involved the attacks. But it is an AMISOM’s usual disaster management response to make arrests against the local area peoples, in case of explosions or other homicide incidents.
Lower-Shaballe administration has not yet released any information about what has happened, and whether the local people who have been arrested by AMISOM were the prime suspects.
