U.K, France and Germany call on Israel to comply with International Law
Israel must fulfill its international obligation to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza, as stated in a joint declaration by the foreign ministers of the UK, France, and Germany.
“We call on the Israeli government to comply with its international obligations to ensure the full, immediate, safe, and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza,” the statement said.
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Sunday that “the entry of all goods and fuel into Gaza by sea will be halted,” accusing Hamas of rejecting a framework for continued negotiations proposed by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
“Humanitarian aid must never be subject to a ceasefire or used as a political tool,” the statement added, urging all parties to strengthen efforts toward a ceasefire.
