Two Somali men awarded €5,000 each after human rights were breached

Two men, of Somali nationality, were awarded on Thursday €5,000 each following a court order after  their human rights had been breached after spending two and a half years more in prison than they should have.

Omar Osman and Anwar Otman Hasan were convicted in Novermber of 2012 for being involved in a gang rape on a woman in 2007.

Both were taken into custody after a woman had reported that she had been gang raped by four men at the Marsa Open Centre during the early hours of March 19 2007.
