The Thin Line Between True And False.
Reading the desperate face of the lay – man on the street is my favorite book. Using his tongue as a pen inked with twisted tears deep, deep from his heart. As we share and have many things in common. That is why his agony and scream shivers my spine. His coughing and sneezing opens my eyes to see, and induces my brain to visualize. Then I nose around and apply all my senses to snoop. It annoys me a lot when my intimate friends asses me as a Thriller – – Writer. As I regard myself nothing but a confused frustrated citizen that was struck by the stressful political hiccups of some autocrat politicians with contradicting dim political views. Mixing milk in water like an adulterer – wife. These harsh, and depressing attitude motivates me to quote my pressing feelings and to express my true emotions. As I want to see the thin line between true and false. But I have no any other political ambitions, whatsoever.
Dear reader, Environmental – Culture is a package of a refined arts of customs, conducts, characters, beliefs, intuitions, mental – faculties of perceptions, thoughts, ways of reasoning, judgment, literature and proverbs, and intellectual achievement of a society or a person. All in all, your way of thinking and solving problems and resolutions of the mysterious circumstances of this wild World life, in a daily bases. But Colonial – Culture is the style of Governing and the social habits that was imported from overseas by the colonial – rulers. The study of the Civics of the colonial rules and regulations, and it’s way of thinking in solving problems. Different kinds of Governing Body systems. Like democracy, kings, monarchy, and socialism. You name it, with varied trademark or label. But having the same goal and objectivity. After decades of Colonial dark rule; your environmental – culture is interwoven with the fabric and tissues of your colonial – culture regardless to your stiff and unbinding resistance. That is why the Tartars from Mogadishu doomed to destruction as the legacy of the fate of their colonial – culture of Fascism. Hence ruled by bandits and street – Gangs using the tools of corruption, blackmailing, and intimidation to oppress innocent civilians under the rule of the thumb. Acting as a bully that uses political – power to coerce others by force or threats. I could remember when the deceased Father of Education Mr.Mohamoud Ahmed Ali intended to unify the Educational Curriculum of the schools in the dark – rule of the late Vampire. Some ignorant autocrats from Mogadishu opposed the idea of including the subject of ( Civics ) in the primary and secondary schools. Claiming that it is inappropriate to introduce politics in the school syllabus. Dear reader, ignorance is a curse!
According to Somaliland culture, hasty and rapid – cognition or reaching an immediate hasty decision is considered as an unwanted stigma that results unwise judgment. But since I have read the book of Mr.Malcolm Gladwell called ( The Blink ), I have realized that rapid – cognition is a sign of smartness and a stroke of genius. Blink, deals with the kind of thinking that happens
in a blink of an eye. When you meet someone for the first time, or dating a girl for the first time. Or reading the first few sentences of a book. Confrontation with a more complex situations under conditions of intense pressure and stress in Emergency calls at natural disasters, like fire – hazards, earthquake, bomb –threat, flooding, and war crisis in the battle – field. Your mind takes about two seconds to jump to series conclusions. Blink, is about your quick judgment in those first two seconds of decision – making. Those instant conclusions that we make , are really very powerful and important. Blink, is a book about Intuition except the word intuition strikes you as a concept we use to describe emotional reactions , gut feeling – thoughts and impressions that don’t seem entirely rational. Blink is thinking that moves a little faster and operates a little more mysteriously than the kind of deliberate, conscious decision – making that we usually associate with thinking. Blink is concerned in those first two seconds. What is going and bubbling up in our head or mind. According to Somaliland culture. Rapid – cognition or reaching an immediate hasty decision is conceived as unwanted stigma that results unwise judgment. Since childhood this bad impression of snap – judgment or rapid – cognition is drummed into our minds again and again. We have been told that haste makes waste. Look before you leap. Stop and think for a while before decision – making. Because we live in a World dedicated to the idea that we are better off if we gather as much information available and as much time as possible in deliberation, if we want a wise – judgment. But since I have read the book “ Blink .“ I became Cynical about that old theory of haste makes waste, and I consider rapid – cognition as a stroke of genius. That is why I have started my opposition of Mr.Silanyo’s rule and reign at the first week of his arrival to the throne. By calling him, Musaylama Al – Kadaab or Musaylama the Lier in my first article about him. As I believe much now, that snap – judgments and first impressions offer a much better means of making sense of the World. Rapid – cognition is no more a curse but a bless.
If I set aside all negativity and redeem all sins. Still, I smell blood in the water! A smell from burning flesh on the barbecue – grill. Skinning people alive and piercing needles into our eyes. Sweeping our hearts with knives and forks, and planting seeds of hatred among family and friends. Knowingly that Mr.Silanyo and the International Community intends collaterally to associate us back to the Viking Seafaring Pirates of Mogadishu. That steals the gold – teeth from the dead body. That is why flammable, painful memories of the past, dormant for years in our hearts, came back flooding in our blood stream, Mr.Silanyo, go ahead with your hidden agenda of a nerve racking – vice which is a detainment of the spirit and soul. But there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Dear reader, we are conquered by wild mosquitoes hungry for pain. Mr.Silanyo, France has lost a bottle, France has not lost the war. Any stigma will serve to beat a dogma. We are fully aware that you are inspired by Mr.Mahega to let you reach a wider horizon of thought and action. But it is ill, if you are sitting at Rome , and at the same time striving against the Pope. Please don’t sign your political death – contract. History is now and England. Try to be a cunning smart. We are all eyes and ears.
Stop courting and cuddling Mogadishu and opening the Pandora’s Box. Please don’t cross the line. Nobody gave you an open cheque. A poet can survive everything, but misprint. We have given you our mandate for a specific assignment. You can look at the beautiful shins of my girl friend, but you can’t touch. It is enough to stare the steps, but never try to step up the stairs. Every thing in your political arena is fake and vague. A free society is one where it is safe to be unpopular. If you zeal up the lips, there is always a physical reaction that includes an increased heart – beat from 70 to 120 beats per minute. Because the salivary glands shuts off. Hence, the endorphins and oxytocin which are hormones produced within the brain and the nervous system have a pain killing effect; stops functioning. Yesterday’s bruises are not healed and the blood is not dry yet. Mr.Silanyo, obsession in power and megalomania shortens the ruling term of an autocrat. The air hung thick and cold around your table. How we can convince the Shia in the east and the Wahabist in the west that Somaliland is for all Somalilanders. While we are taking a mile and giving them an inch. Five autocrats from the same clan in one single Ministry are having a meeting; and we tell the World that Somaliland is safe and sound. Put the shoe in the right shoe and be ashamed of lying to the whole World more than the Tobacco Industry. Open more wider window and avenues for mutual respect and power – sharing. stop playing with fire. He who slings mud, generally loses the ground. An ant on move does more than a dozing Oxe. Gravitational pull can’t be responsible for your falling down. Mr.Silanyo, you already have illustrated how ungrateful you are to Somaliland. Please don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Remember ! hypocrisy is a tribute which vice pays to virtue. Mr.Mahega, whenever we argue over a spilled water, my wife always says to me. “ I would rather prefer to be a young man’s slave rather than to be an old man’s darling”. You have no a say in our destiny and career. Nobody invited you in our sacred land. You have no room in Somalia. Go home and to where you belong. You can’t impose us to get back united with those vampires that has taken the love of our hearts and put water in our veins. You are flooding a dead horse. Period !
Dear country man, be aware of false prophets which come to you in sheep’s clothing , but inwardly, they are ravening wolves. Give deaf ears to the false drums of the Mother – In – Law from hell ( Tribalism ).
President Silanyo, Mr.Ali Sugule said once, Diric Geli Ahaantii , Daleed Guusha Kama Helo, Dadkaa Geesi lagu Yahay. Professor Gaariye said, Adiguna Wadaadoo, Waxaad Wada, Wardi Xeelad Daba Taal. Can you show us the thin line between true and false?
Mr.Silanyo, the three piece suit is yours and the shame is ours.
Thank you for being totally ugly.
Yusu Deyr, Edmonton, Canada.
