Swedish Government Investigates Somali Swedish who Travelled to Syria

The Swedish Security Department, Swedish Security Service is investigating Muslims in that country, including Somalis who allegedly travelled to Syria and Iraq.

The Swedish Security Service said since 2012, 110 Swedish nationals travelled to Syria where 25 to 30 of them were killed while fighting for ISIL. Meanwhile 40 of them made a come back to Sweden. The returnees are the ones who are currently being investigated.

Andres Kassman who is the director of the Swedish security operation told the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet that the trend is a major problem which needs a careful redress.

Sweden is one of the countries in Europe that host fairly a large Somali Diaspora Community.
