Suicide bomber kills 10 at café in central Somalia
A suicide bomber blew himself up at a café in Galkayo town, killing at least 10 people in an attack claimed by Al Shabab group, officials said Thursday.
Nine other people were wounded in the explosion at the café near a popular hotel in the town in central Somalia.
The attack happened after the bomber detonated an explosive belt strapped on his waist among people inside the café.
According to police, an official with Puntland semiautonomous state is among people killed in the blast.
Al Shabab said it targeted officials at the café with the attack in the normally stable town.
