Somaliland: Rebel leader agrees to put down arms

Hargeysa July 24,2012(SDN)-Suleyman Haglotosiye the leader of the SSC rebel group met the president of Somaliland Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo in Hargeisa the Capital of the self declared enclave.

The two met in Dubai couple of weeks ago,but little is known about their meeting,but today in Hargeisa where the two have met again talks revolved around peace.

Buhodle the epicenter of the violence between Somaliland forces and the SSC rebel group which is where Mr Haglotosiye hails from seemed cool to the meeting.

Somaliland President and SSC leader agreed in working together to achieve greater peace and to have the Somaliland administration  implement developmental projects in the region.

According to sources close to the Somaliland administration Mr Xaglotosiye is to join the Somaliland Capinet,but the post has not yet being determined.

Buhodle has recently seen multible adminstrations operating whin it,such as the Puntland,SSC and Khatumo state.

Somaliland after it’s Independence from Britain in 1960 join with Somalia to create the Republic of Somalia,but since 1991 regained its Independence.
