Somaliland: Presidential spokesman refutes president Silanyo siding with a contender

 

HARGEISA– Presidential residence spokesman, Ahmed Suleiman Dhuhul has refuted that president Ahmed Silanyo of Somaliland has given his support to one of the presidential aspirants of the party and further argues that the president keeps neutrality over the contestants.

The press secretary has claimed that he wants Kulmiye to remain as the ruling party for he 40 years to come which I do not think is a plausible statement that is impossible to happen in Somaliland.

He said that the incumbent is the founding father of the party and the president reiterated that he will remain neutral and will not side with any of the contenders.

The spokesman has insisted that the contenders were among the individuals who worked with the president and paves the way for a democratic elections to take place.

He called on media outlets to stop unconfrmed reports that will likely cause frictions and rift within the party.
