Somaliland: President Makes Cabinet Reshuffle, appoints Ministers

HARGEISA– Somaliland President His Excellency Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud Silanyo has issued a presidential decree JSL/M/XERM/249-3641/102015 and appointed ministers, deputy ministers, state affairs ministers, director generals and presidential advisors.
Ministers, Assistant ministers either shifted or newly appointed:-
1. Hon. Abdilahi Faarah Maydhane appointed as the new minister of youth, sports and Culture.
2. Mr. Abdilahi Ibrahim Habane alias “Abdilahi Dheere” has become the new minister of education and higher studies.
3. Hon. Mohamed Muse Dirie has ben shifted to the deputy minister of interior in charge of security matters.
He was the former Togder regional governor.
4. Mr. Abdi Dahir Amud has been shifted to be the State Minister of labor and Social affairs.
5. Mr. Rashid Ismail Kahin shifted as the new Assistant minister of youth, sports and culture.
6. Mr. Abdirashid Husein Abdile alias “Arab” shifted to head the ministry of reconcilation foo eastern regions in Somaliland.
7. Mr. Abdisalan Mohamed Hasan shifted to the State minister for environment and Rural areas.
8. Mr. Mohamed Faarah Du’ale shifted to the State Finance minister.
9. Mr. Kayser Abdilahi Mohamed shifted to the new deputy minister for commerce and international investment.
10. Hon. Yusuf Osman Garas, former deputy minister on youth, sports and Culture tranfered to the deputy minister of education ministry.
11. Hon. Osman Ahmed Jama appointed as the Assistant minister for Justice and Judiciary affairs.
12. Eng. Abdi Mohamed Hiired appointed as the new deputy minister for Public works and Transport.
13. Mr. Mahdi Osman Abdilahi “Buuri” appointed as the state minister for water affairs.
14. Hon. Abdirahman Ahmed Ismail named as the new state minister for energy and minerals.
15. Eng. Abdirashid Mohamud Ali nominated as the new State minister for livestock.
16. Mr. Boos Mire Mahamed named as the new Assistant minister for Defense.
17. Mr. Jama Abdilahi Biin apponted as the new deputy minister of interior in charge of regional and district affairs.
Director Generals:-
1. Mr. Abdifatah Said Guleid shifted to the ministry of interior.
2. Mr. Farah Adan Haybe appointed as the new director general to the ministry of industry.
Presidential advisors:
1. Mr. Abdisamad Omar Maal shifted as the new presidential advisor in charge of international and local organizatins.
2. Eng. Abdinasir Garad Abshir Salah appointed as the new presidential advisor on eastern regions.
