Somaliland: Ministers for presidency, reconciliation and presidential spokesman assume office
Hargeisa – New Minister for Presidential affairs Hon. Mohamoud Hashi Abdi has today assumed office from the outgoing minister for presidency, Hirsi Ali Hasan.
In well organized ceremony held in the presidential compound saw the new minister of reconciliation for eastern regions and the new presidential spokesman take office as well.
Director in charge of finance at the presidential compound first stressed the weight that the presidential affairs ministry has for the nation.
State minister for presidential affairs minister, Mohamed Muse Abees has started his speech by thanking and welcomed the new minister for presidency, Mohamoud Hashi Abdi.
He said that they are committed to work with to work with the new minister for presidency and prayed that he will discharge his duties well.
On the other hand, outgoing minister in charge of reconciliation for eastern regions, Ali Mohamoud Ahmed alias “Ali Sandule” has talked about the accomplishments during his tenure. Mr. Ali was later shifted to the ministry of labour and social affairs. He spoke at the event following transfer office to the newly appointed minister, Abdirashid Husein Abdile alias “Arab”.
In addition, The new presidential spokesman, Husein Adan Egge alias “Dayr” has today taken office and former press secretary, Ahmed Sulieman Dhuhul has tranfered office.
Former Presidential affairs minister, Hirsi has thanked and praised the incumbent president Ahmed Silanyo for the almost six years that he worked with and stressed that he is a man that can be worked with.
He cited that due to different political views have made the outgoing presidential affairs minister to resign from cabinet.
The new presidency minister, Mohamoud Hashi Abdi has thanked his predecessor and added that he will stand by him as he used to support him during his time as the presidency minister.
