Somaliland: Incumbent Vice president chosen as the VP nominee for the governing Kulmiye party

HARGEISA-The incumbent Vice President has defeated his main rival the minister of Health, Suleiman Isse Ahmed.

Both were vying for the presidential nominee of Kulmiye governing party.

Mr. Abdirahman Saylici has got 230 votes while his main rival, minister of Health has got 114.

21 delegates have abstained the vote.

The current minister of Health, Suleiman Isse has admitted defeat but cited irregularies in the voting system of the party.

Mr. Suleiman has thanked who voted for him but urged that those who voted against him should understand the unity by the grace of Allah.
