Somaliland: Health Minister announces his bid to run for Kulmiye running mate

HARGEISA– Somaliland minister of health, Suleiman Isse Ahmed has announced that he is to contest Kulmiye ruling party running mate today.

He made the announcement in a well organized and well attended ceremony held in Hargeisa, Somaliland capital.

He is likely to face a hard contest from his rvals including the icumbent Somaliland vice president, Abdirahman Saylici.

Mr. Suleiman used to be the leader of Sool, Sanaag and Ayn which was a rebelion that existed before Khatumo was formed.

They used to struggle for the emancipation of the eastern regions from Somaliland control.
