Somaliland: Head of State tours Kulmiye headquarters to collect ID card

HARGEISA- The Head of State His Excellency Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo has visited Kulmiye headquraters in order to get registered today.

Chairman and First Deputy Chairman were there to welcome the president and his entourage.

First Deputy Chairman, Mohamed Kahin who spoke fisrt has welcomed the president on his tour to the headquarters.

It reminds him of the years that he spent as Kulmiye opposition chairman before he was get elected to the presidency in 2010 in an ovverwhelming vote.

Mr. Kahin has told the president that registeration of all central council members is underway so that they should be registered and collect ID cards.

He thanked the president in his visit to the party headquarters.

Musa Bihi, Kulmiye chairman who also made brief speech at the event said that he is pleased with the head of state touring the party headquraters and the president as being the number one of central council members.

Mr. Musa has proved in the presence of president Silanyo that he does not support me as cliamed by the ministers who resigned from their posts.

He said that the president’s visit is to inspect the ongoing resgisteration of party council members. He added that it is for the president to see if the work is transparent.

He urged other members of the resigned officials to come and see how the registeration is taking place.

President Ahmed Silanyo made short remarks stressed that there will be just and democratic election in the party.

He thanked all ministers who resigned and bode a farewell.

The president said that he is happy to come to the headquarters and collect his ID card which will allow him to participate the 5th congress of the ruling party which is slated to happen in November.
