Somaliland: Foreign Minister to Attend International Gathering on Piracy in UAE

Hargeisa, Sep 04, 2013 (SDN) -Mohamed Biihi Yoonis, Somaliland Foreign Minister and International Cooperation travels to UAE on Monday where he will attend meeting that will be discussed on issues concerning piracy. The conference is organized by the United Nations with the help of African Union and IGAD’S regional body. Somaliland’s foreign Ministry spokesman has revealed that the foreign affairs minister has embarked on a working visit to UAE and added that it will be attended by countries in the region where immigration has been badly hit. He said that it is an annual gathering where it is focused on the prevention of piracy that poses real and major threat to global commerce in international sea waters. The FM is accompanied by the director in charge of combat of piracy and the delegation headed by the FM will return to the country on Friday.
