Somalia’s President visited the Ministry of Defense and discussed operations against Al-Shabab

Mogadishu (QJ) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, conducted a working visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense.

During his visit, the President held productive meetings with the leadership of the Somali Armed Forces and the National Intelligence and Security Agency to accelerate operations aimed at eradicating the Al-Shabaab terrorist group.

He also received briefings on the country’s overall security situation, ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, and strategies to enhance these operations. The President praised the courage and sacrifices demonstrated by the national forces in their efforts to ensure security.

The President’s visit to the Ministry of Defense coincides with the government’s plans to launch operations against Al-Shabaab in several regions of the country.
