Somalia: The UN representative to Somalia Michael Keating visits Somaliland

The United Nations Representative to Somalia Mr. Michael Keating and a delegation he is leading has on Monday paid his first visit to Hargeisa the capital of the Republic of Somaliland.

The delegation was highly received at Egaal International airport in Hargeisa by the government officials of Somaliland, and was taken to the State House where they will be having crucial meetings with the President of Somaliland and other senior officials in the government of Somaliland.

After the meeting the press was jointly addressed by the Minister for foreign Affairs and the UN envoy, and they said that their meeting was basically about the sever drought in the country, the voting registration, the general security and some other issues.
