Sahil regional Somaliland Special Police Unit Chief Shot Dead

BERBERA — Sahil regional Somaliland Special Police Unit (SPU) chief the late Adan Gulied Dahir alias “Talaabo” has been gunned down by a police officer on duty in Berbera’s mian prison on Thursday morning.

A ceremony was taking place held during a new police officer assuming responsibility while another police was about transfer power smoothly.

The motive of the killing of the late Adan is not yet known as far as the situation is concerned.

The body of later Adan was taken to Berbera hospital while the police man who shot him dead is under detention.

Reports coming from Berbera confirm that relatives of the assassinated chief hold protests over the killing of their loved one in front of the prison.

They demanded that the gov’t should not bury the assassinated chief unless the police who killed him also should be brought before the justice.
