Puntland parliamentary speaker tenders resignation

GAROWE-Puntland Parliament Speaker, Saed Hasan Shire has resigned ahead of confidence vote in the house today.

More than 40 members of the house tabled a no confidence motion against the speaker and the deputy speaker.

The parliamentary speaker tendered resigantion in his residence in Garowe.

The members of the house accused the parliament speaker in defense of the president during parliament deliberations on Monday.
